BTEC National Diploma Media
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is for anyone who is interested in the media industry, seeking a place in higher education and keen to develop your practical and theoretical skills in Media Studies.
This course is aimed at students who are keen to develop their practical media skills. During the course students will develop and make their own media products including videos, magazines with an insight into print and audio media. The course also explores the impact of the media on society and provides an educational foundation for a range of careers in the Media. The course is vocational.
Modules include:
- Research Techniques
- Pre-production terrace
- Production Management
- Working to a brief in the Media
- Film and Video Techniques (Industry)
- TV Studies
- Writing and editing copy
- 2D Animation
- Radio Drama
This gives a general overview but changes may occur.
AFTER THE COURSE
Successful students will obtain a BTEC National Diploma in Media Studies. This is equivalent to 3 A levels. Students passing the course can go on to study at university, training or employment. The course prepares students for the world of work in the various fields of media.
